Hi Friends!
Happy Friday, and thanks for stopping by! Since this is my first blog post, I thought it would be fun to start with a ‘lil fun questionnaire post. My favorite number is 10 and March 10th is my birthday, so 10 questions it is!
- Favorite Fast Food Restaurant?
This is hard! We rarely eat fast food, for no reason other than I enjoy cooking, and may or may not be partial to my own recipes. If we are talking true fast food, drive-through style, I would have to say hands down Chick-Fil-A. Can’t go wrong with some nuggets and sriracha dipping sauce (insert heart eye emoji).
- Dress Up or Dress Down?
This is tough…. I love my lounge wear, and honestly probably wear it more often than not; but there’s something about dressing up and putting makeup on that really puts me in a happy, confident mood.
- Would you rather never have coffee or never have a cocktail again?
If I absolutely had to pick one to never have again, it would be coffee. I promise I’m not a closet drinker, but there is just something that is so satisfying about a margarita with chips and salsa. Also, don’t kill me but I actually enjoy the salsa more at Mexican restaurants versus Queso or Guac. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
- What’s your ideal Sunday?
I love Sunday’s. Maybe because it’s a structured day filled with all the things I love! Every Sunday morning growing up, we got dressed up and went to church, followed with brunch at my Grandma’s. Now that I don’t live in Iowa anymore, Sunday’s look a little different, but we have managed to make them equally as special. We (Traeton and I), still make it to church almost every Sunday, followed with brunch at a new restaurant—helloooo Bloody Mary’s! Of course, when we get home the comfies are thrown on and a whole lotta Netflix is involved.
- All-Time Favorite Meal?
I love food, if I haven’t mentioned that yet, haha. However, if I had to pick one meal, I would say tacos. I’m not talking your average run-of-the-mill tacos. I’m talking the ultimate taco with alllllll the toppings.
- What is one beauty product you can’t live without?
My hair is an actual horses’ mane. Soooo thick. Not that I am complaining, but it definitely takes some work to keep it in line! I would have to say my Wet Brush has been a game changer. I know it’s not a life changing tool to some, but it’s definitely useful when I’m trying to NOT rip all of my hair out after a windy boat ride.
- Where would you travel if money wasn’t an issue?
Greece. Wait no, Maldives. Uhhhhhh…. Greece. Maldives?
- One condiment you couldn’t live without?
Ha! Easy. Ranch dressing ALL. THE. WAY. Is this a Midwestern thing? I could (and sadly do) put ranch on everything. Veggies? Ranch. Pizza? Ranch. Burned dinner on accident? Add a ‘lil ranch and we are good to go! Fun fact, I traveled abroad to Europe a couple summers ago, and all the servers looked at me funny when I would sheepishly ask for ranch with every meal. Let me tell ya, they haven’t lived over there! Ranch = Life. Okay, maybe that’s a bit dramatic, but you get the point.
- What’s your dream job?
Oooo. I would absolutely love nothing more than to run an animal sanctuary! Growing up on a dairy farm, I was fortunate to have all sorts of exposure to different animals. Horses being one of them! I actually grew up riding and showing horses, a passion of mine that I don’t think will ever go away. Yep. I’m THAT horse girl. Anyway, the point being that I would love to rescue all types of animals. Big, small, old, young – you name it.
- What’s your favorite way to spend Date Night?
Our date nights (especially during the summer) look a little different than most. We love to go to concerts, really any concert we can get our hands on – country being our favorite! If it’s not a concert, I really enjoy when we get all dressed up and go somewhere nice, order some appetizers and cocktails. I feel like we get our best conversation in this way!
Thanks so much for taking the time to read a ‘lil about me. Until next time!
With Love,
