If you haven’t caught on by now, summer is my absolute favorite season. I love the fun prints, bright colors, and trendy accessories – it makes planning a simple ootd so much more exciting! One thing I am not a fan of though, is dropping a ridiculous amount of cha-ching on all of that (you know we ball on a budget around here!). Lucky for y’all, I found the JACKPOT when it comes to summer shopping. Target has all your casual basics and easy summer styles while keeping your wallet *extra happy.
This first outfit makes me particularly excited. I found these shorts on a whim while shopping in the Wild Fable section and get this: they were the only pair left AND happened to fit. I am wearing these Bermudas in a size 4 (normally I would be closer to a 6) – so it was meant to be! The best part is these shorts are only $19 – unheard of.
I absolutely adore this top for so many reasons. The material feels so high end, but it’s only $20 (like, excuse me how?!). The rose color reminds me of a summertime sunset, or raspberry sorbet – aka your new favorite summer top! It comes in two more colors: a classic black and an elevated taupe brown, perfect to carry you from summer into fall. I love the idea of wearing this to a summer concert, date night, or a dreamy ‘lil sunset picnic. I am wearing it in a size small, tts.
Calling all comfy and casual gals! Target has the cutest $5 tees and tanks, and this little baby blue polo is no exception. I sized up to a large for an extra comfy fit. The ruffle hem on the bottom adds the right amount of girly flare, while still making it acceptable to wear to your next slow-pitch tourney. It also comes in several more colorways + prints, $12 make ya holla!
I also added this gold chunky chain to take this outfit to the next level. The pearl heart detail completes the chic-to-sporty ratio. Score!
My secret to staying cool ‘n comfy this summer is a skirt – always! Tennis skirt vibes are a trend that’s here to stay. They are also so versatile in the sense that once summer passes, you can throw on a pair of booties and a sweater and call it a day! The pleats are so chic and flattering + high waisted anything is always a good idea. I absolutely love that I can take this outfit from walking the dogs at 10 to brunch at 2, all while being extra comfy. I am wearing my skirt in a medium but could have also gotten away with a size small. This tennis skirt comes in two more colors: deep red and black. The length is also tall girl approved (which can be a miracle in itself!).
